Nigerians Berate Zahra Buhari Over Social Media Bill Comment

By Bashir Turawa

Nigerians have taken to their Twitter handles to react to the comment made by the daughter of the president of Nigeria, Zahra Buhari.

Zahra Buhari made the comment at the first edition of ‘An Afternoon with Zahra’, an event recently organized in Abuja by the ZMB Homes, her foundation, tagged #ConversationWithZahra.

Zahra who declared her support for the bill made it known that she was once a victim of social media bullying.

Reacting to this, a Twitter user, @david86uba said “I really feel bad how she felt over cyber bullying, but what about those going through financial bullying? Social infrastructural bullying? Police brutality? Educational deprivation bullying? Stomach infrastructural bullying? Or these ones are not relevant? Such audacity.

@lykeabani, in his own reaction said “So the senate must now pass a bill that will protect buhari’s daughter? More like the Kings daughter asking for the head of John the baptist as her birthday gift.”

Another Twitter user, @dougsele, recommends death by hanging for looters.

“I am a victim of looting and poor governance bullying My life.. I support death by hanging for looters and bad governance.”

@halexmahum said:
“I am a victim of bad governance.
Should there be a bill to hang all corrupt politicians too?”
