The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has said that private sectors can solve the problem of Infrastructure Deficit in the country.

Osinbajo said this at the Nigeria Investment Diaspora Summit organised by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM.

The Vice president while giving ways by which private sectors can solve the problem of Infrastructure Deficit said private sector collaboration by way of tax credits for investments in public infrastructure and Infrastructure Fund are best ways.

“Private sectors collaboration by way of tax credits for investments in public infrastructure and we put that out there that we are prepared to partner with private sector individuals who want to put in their resources for tax credit.

” Infrastructure Fund. The fund at the moment has only received institutional investors but there might be room for investment from Diaspora funds as well. Such investment, especially when managed with the known expertise of our Nigerian Wealth Fund can be both safe and profitable,” he said.
